The Apostle Paul concurred with Isaiah. He said that "All Israel will be saved". (Romans 11) The Apostle James addressed his epistle to the entire 12 tribe company of God's extended family. And the Apostle John saw the New Jerusalem, the glorious Holy City accessed by 12 gates representing the 12 tribes of Israel. He saw the Holy City, the Bride of the Lamb descending from heaven. SOME KEY VIDEOS ON THE REUNION, RECONCILIATION, AND RESTORATION OF ISRAEL
A video Power-Point presentation by Gavin Finley spotlighting the Law-Grace fracture line in Israel that broke at the Breach of Jeroboam, to split Israel into Two Kingdoms. Then the end-time reunion and reconciliation of the Two Houses of Israel as the Congregation / Commonwealth of Israel, along with the regathering and restoration of "all Israel" complete with a Fullness out of the Gentiles, people in Messiah, a called out assembly, from every nation, race, and tribe, even as Israel's partial blindness is healed in the latter days.
In February of 2019 the Commonwealth of Israel Conference was held in Phoenix, AR. The closing message by Gavin Finley MD based upon Ephesians 2:11-14 was “The Commonwealth of Israel is Established in the Blood of Messiah”.
A group session with some of the people who have been writing on the theme of the Commonwealth / Congregation of Israel. All of these authors see an undivided company of the redeemed from both houses of Israel and beyond, all the saints drawn from across time, from both sides of Calvary. This was hosted by Chad Schafer on the Disputed Lands show. Those present included Chris Steinle who initiated the Commonwealth Theology Bible project. Doug Krieger wrote the book, Commonwealth Theology. Hebrew scholar Dr. Doug Hamp is pastor of "The Way Congregation" in Denver, Co and hosts "The Awakening Report" on You Tube. Dr. Gavin Finley has written on these themes on the EndTimePilgrim.org website and presented them on the YouTube channel "Gavin Finley".
A wonderful video by Janette Andrejovich outlining the historic split that divided Israel into two kingdoms, their separate subsequent histories and the promised redemption in the New Covenant by the blood of Messiah that will bring in the promised and prophesied reunion, reconciliation, and restoration of "All Israel" as the royal priesthood / holy nation Moses and the apostle Peter both spoke about.
In this YouTube video Dr. Doug Hamp outlines the rebellion of the ten tribes to form the Northern Kingdom of Israel at the Breach of Jeroboam. He explains their loss of sovereignty their early deep descent into idolatry and the divorce of the northern Kingdom, the House of Israel, by Yehovah-God. He goes on to further explain how restoration of the marriage relationship is only possible after the death of the original husband and a new marriage in a New Covenant. All this has been wonderfully accomplished by Messiah in His death, burial, and resurrection and His showcasing of the New Covenant which is in His blood. This opens the door to all people from every nations, race, and tribe, to belong to the cross-linked Congregation / Commonwealth of Israel.
This video centers around a chat with attorney Scott Harwell, who is writing a book on "Grafting Theology", another perspective on Commonwealth Theology. Hebrew scholar and author Dr. Doug Hamp graciously hosted the sharing conversation. This Biblical study from Ephesians 2:11-14 shows that it is the blood of Christ in the New Covenant, and by His Presence in the hearts, that the two estranged houses of Israel are re-united as a single Congregation /Commonwealth in the dual office of Messiah in the Order of Melchizedek. This remarkable reconciliation and restoration will be happening in association with the end-time harvest, the in-gathering of people from every nation race and tribe we see in Revelation chapter 7.
In this short video Gavin is joined by Gary Poisson, a good friend of many years with some great insights into the Two Houses of Israel their important special roles. We discuss how the reconciliation and reunion of the two houses is vitally tied in to the Restoration of Israel and the End-Time gathering of all the saints from every nation, race and tribe.
The book "Commonwealth Theology" by Doug Krieger is a Biblical well founded exhaustively documented and referenced study of the past break-up of Israel and its future restoration. He describes the Breach of Jeroboam that split the nation into two kingdoms and the full plan of the God of Israel through the blood of Messiah in the New Covenant to reunite the two houses and all 12 tribes. His plan as outlined in the prophetic scriptures is to bring in this restoration in a gloriously expanded way in association with the epic end-time gathering of a fullness of Gentiles grafted into the root and stock of Israel from every nation, race, and tribe. It is through the blood of redemption they are rendered as a new creation, members of the global Congregation of Israel, and citizens in the Commonwealth of Israel.

The author spotlights the old Replacement Theology that has given the Jewish House of Judah such terrible grief through the centuries. He also brings a warning concerning the Dispensational Theology crafted to prop up Pre-Tribulation Rapture lore. This man-made Church vs. Israel dichotomy shunts off Jewish Israel to dispensational destinations unknown and alienates the yet to be saved Jewish house. Their timeline of the final 7 years of this age precludes them from their circumscribed "Age of Grace", essentially denying them access to their idea of "The church". Of late we are sad to see they have even gone so far as to advance a heretical doctrine of "two covenants", one for what they perceive as "Jewish Israel" and one for the so-called "Gentile church". There is also talk of two brides. This is most unfortunate as it leaves the door open to the fixed mindset of "us and them" which wen politicized in the past has caused grievous uprisings of Antisemitism. Commonwealth Theology has a firm Biblical foundation and it is a true and faithful message of peace on earth among men of good will.

EZEKIEL'S VISION OF THE LATTER DAY REGATHERING OF LOST ISRAEL AND THEIR FULL NATIONAL RESTORATION AND SPIRITUAL RESURRECTION OF ALL ISRAEL AT THE END OF THE AGE IN THE VALLEY OF DRY BONES. (Ezekiel 37)
The player below has an audio of the prophecy
from Ezekiel 37 narrated by Alexander Scourby.
1. The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. 2. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. 3. And He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" So I answered, "O Lord God, You know." 4. Again He said to me, "Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, 'O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5. Thus says the Lord God to these bones: "Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. 6. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord." 7. So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them. 9. Also He said to me, "Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live." 10. So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army. 11. Then He said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, 'Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!' 12. Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it," says the Lord.' "
(Ezek.37:1-14 NKJV)
The Northern Kingdom of Israel
is taken captive by the Assyrians.QUICK SUMMARY:
The Holy Scriptures tell the story of Israel in the former times and the issue of idolatry. This led to the loss of their covenant connection to their God, the Holy One of Israel. This spiritual unfaithfulness was the cause of both the northern and the southern Kingdoms going off into their respective captivities. In 722 B.C. the Assyrians lead the northern 10 tribes of Israel off into captivity. Later in 586 B.C. the Babylonians took Judah in the south captive. Judah returned to the land and rebuilt the Temple. In 457 B.C. a great Biblical revival under Ezra the scribe led to another epic return of Jewish exiles from Medo-Persia. The Jewish House of Judah was later, (under Nehemiah in 445 B.C.), ceded the sovereignty of the city of Jerusalem. We know what happened to those people subsequently. The situation with the Northern Ten Tribes is quite different. They never returned to the land in sovereign strength and numbers. They had been divorced by YHVH and cut off from being national kingdom identities in Israel according to the Word of God in Hosea. This lost state of national blindness and amnesia was confirmed in their subsequent histories. Assyria had deliberately scattered and intermingled the northern ten tribes among the heathen nations.
What happened to lost Israel afterward is a mystery yet to be revealed. But it will. (See Romans 11). This hidden history concerning the origin of the nations of Europe in lost Israel is a suppressed memory. The national amnesia came because of a bitter blood feud in the family. And it persists to this very day for the very same reason. The schism goes back to the reign of Rehoboam at a rebellious event known as the Breach of Jeroboam. The lost ten tribes had seceded from Judah and for political reasons no longer went up to the feasts at Jerusalem. To make matters worse the lost ten tribes had cursed themselves blind as they rebelled from the sovereignty of the throne of David in Israel. They parted company with the royal (Jewish) house of Judah in a bitter dispute over Law and Grace. It is a theological dispute that continues to this day and the disconnect is so deep it can only be resolved by the indwelling Messiah.
The truth of this divorce and the pain of what happened back then is lodged deep down in the western collective memory. It has given rise to much jealousy, blood feuding, bloody carnal crusading, and anti-Semitism. This whole story of what happened back then and how Messiah intends to fix it at the climax of this age is a blockbuster of a story. The awesome truths here have yet to come out. And they will come out, eventually. For the people of Western Christendom the realization of their Hebrew spiritual roots in Christ will surely come. And the Christian 'blindness in part' to their true identity in Israel will be healed. Yes, the scales will fall off Christian eyes to their identity in Israel even as the scales fall off Jewish eyes to the true identity of their Messiah. The forgotten national identity of the European nations in lost Israel will also be realized in times to come. This hidden collective memory will explode into the Western consciousness among those who have come to know Christ as Messiah, the Holy One of Israel. All this unveiling and Revelation will come as the fullness of the heathen gentiles are saved and gathered into the Commonwealth/citizenship of Israel. Those Spirit filled times of refreshing to come will come in increasing waves of glory all the way up to that awesome Day of Reckoning at the last day. The full revelation of this mystery of Israel and her estranged Congregation/Church will surely come during the End-Time Revival that Joel saw coming to a peak at the very end of the 70th Week of Daniel. See Joel 2:28-32. The Apostle Paul tells us that 'all Israel will be saved'. There will be a great salvation of the Jewish house of Israel. And Christians will awaken to their identity in Israel. Through it all the Breach of Jeroboam will be healed. All Israel will be restored, as a Congregation/church/synagogue and also as a Nation and "body politic" under the returning Messiah. Messiah is both High Priest and King of Kings after the Order of Melchizedek. This promised restoration of Israel will surely come, even in the midst of the promised refining of the Great Tribulation. The prophet Jeremiah spoke of this time of trial and epiphany as the time of Jacob's Trouble. Divided Jacob will be regathered. And the covenant people of God will travail as the woman of Revelation chapter 12. This evil age will come to its appointed climax precisely according to the script we see in the Torah. Benjamin, 'son of my right hand' will come forth! 2,000 years ago a Child was born. And at the end of the story as the saints of the Most High YHVH bring in the "final witness" to their Messiah a Son will be given. Messiah Himself, through His witnesses, and in His unveiling or Revelation will bring in the restoration of Israel, even as the end-time drama unfolds. In giving give birth to the man child Jacob will go into transition and 'all Israel will be saved'. The Jewish House of Judah will recognize their Messiah precisely as the prophet Zechariah foretold. In those coming days the fractured feuding nation of Jacob the trickster will be restored as, Israel, which means "prince with God". All twelve tribes of Israel will become gloriously reunited as one single undivided Elect. A Holy celestial City of 12 gates awaits their pleasure. Israel will attain full restoration both spiritually and nationally as that promised royal priesthood and a holy nation that Moses and the Apostle Peter both spoke about.

. . . . . . SEE THIS VIDEO BY RABBI KEN SPIRO.
After the passing of King David and King Solomon King Rehoboam took the throne of Israel. The glory of Israel was departing. And with it went the financial power of the once great superpower. Solomon had married hundreds of foreign wives who brought their idolatrous religion into Israel. The compromise with all these gods of the surrounding nations was now beginning to take its spiritual toll. Israel was in serious decline. And as always happens the kingdom and the financial power went down with the glory. And so the royal tribe of Judah in the south was trying to compensate using the ways of this world. They were exacting more and more taxes and servitude from the ten northern tribes. The point eventually came when this burden became quite onerous. And so it was that Jeroboam led Israel to King Rehoboam. The northern ten tribes asked the Jewish tribe of Judah for some tax relief, or some grace, if you will. The meeting was a disastrous one for all Israel. Yes, the ten tribes were out looking for grace. But Rehoboam just laid down the law. The king of the Jewish tribe of Judah had unwisely accepted the council of the young men instead of the elders. Any hope of retaining unity under Judah was now lost. God's covenant people were divided asunder. They were split into the two houses. Judah and Benjamin with the Holy City of Jerusalem continued on in the south. And under Jeroboam the ten northern tribes went their own way. They became one of histories great mysteries, the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel.
This was an awful wrenching separation.
And it is a division which exists to this day.
The lost ten tribes of Israel are out there in the nations.
Their loss has resulted in a schism from which Israel has yet to recover. From this point on, until the end of this age, Israel would be a divided kingdom of two houses. One kingdom, the royal house of Judah is visible to the world and can still be seen. They still have their Hebrew language, Hebrew geneology, Hebrew religion, and connection to their past in greater Israel. The other, the northern kingdom are hidden from view. They just disappeared into the fog. And how about the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel? Did they curse themselves? And if they did then will they find the grace they have sought? Will they to find redemption and restoration? Will lost Israel ever be found and re-unified into one Elect people?
This is one of the great mysteries of history. And many in Judah along with many in lost Israel have their reasons for not wanting to find out what has happened and not seeking the restoration. They have a vested interest in the religious status-quo. Regrettably many are heavily devoted to their own religious tradition and to the support systems of this world. And in spite of rough treatment by the western political powers the Church and Jewish communities have nearly always ingratiated themselves to the dubious graces of the princes of Europe and to the dark angelic powers behind them that pull their strings. They think that this policy will always ensure security for themselves and their communities. But repeatedly they are proven wrong. Their faith in the powers of this world is misplaced. History shows this time and time again.
But even as the nations rage they still want to forget the coming of their Messiah.
Individually they do not receive Him into their hearts.
And collectively they do not want to hear of His Second Coming.
They do not want to hear of Messiah's coming to rule in this world.
But they have no other choice.
He remains their only hope. The Holy Scriptures have good news to declare. And the beauty and truth of Israel's Old Testament prophetic poetry rejoices in this truth. Israel will be restored, totally and gloriously. The lost ten tribes of Israel will surely be found, even as the prophet Hosea found his wayward wife lost Gomer. As we search the scriptures and do out homework all these mysteries will surely unfold in a wave of splendor never seen before. European origins can be traced back to Israel. And Israel's Messiah, the Seed of Abraham, gives Christians their second passport. Because the Apostle Paul declares that in Christ, who is the indwelling Seed of Abraham, true born-again Christians come into the Commonwealth of Israel.
All this will become common knowledge one day. The truth of remnant Israel and the remnant Church being refined together into one royal priesthood and a holy nation is a hard truth to receive. But this knowledge will unfold collectively in Western Christendom in the crucible of the latter days. And YHVH-God, the Holy One of Israel will reveal it to His covenant people at the proper time.
We serve a God who hides things. And He keeps them hidden until the right time has come. Remember how Moses was hidden in the waters among the bulrushes. He was preserved, and nurtured in secrecy, even as a 'Notzrim', preserved for safe keeping until the proper time. Moses was trained up in the courts of the Egyptian superpower. But until he grew up he was kept in the dark about his true origins and his divine purpose. All this hidden information was revealed later, in its time.
The cloaking of Biblical truth by the powers is allowed by God. It is His permissive will. Smoke screening the truth is "business as usual" down here in this fallen world. That is the way of the dark principalities and powers, the angelic rulers who preside over the systems of this world from their lower perch in the second heaven. Disinformation is also the way of the political princes and merchants of this world. They think they have a handle on things as they try to seize the glory for themselves. They think that they are the sovereign ones as they muscle in and organize things their way. But there is a God who rules from the heavens. The Ancient of Days sits and presides over the unfolding of Holy History.
But the princes of this world have their own humanistic agenda. They grasp the sword as they seek to hold on to the power over the people. The religious powers go along with this. The House of David in Judah and the mystery of the ten lost tribes who went looking for grace are a forgotten story.
The principalities and powers want to keep it that way.
Oh yes, this matter of the lost ten tribes of Israel is shrouded in a conspiracy of silence. But it cannot last forever. The efforts of the dark powers to "cloak" the truth will not prevail. The lights of Abraham will be seen again, passing out across the mountains as a bridal party going out to meet the Bridegroom. They shout will be heard at midnight. And the wise will arise and shine, even in a coming night of deep darkness. (See Isa.60:1-5) The New Covenant Jeremish spoke about will see the Good News go out to bring a great redemption. See Jeremiah 31:31-33. Lost Israel will reappear as a melo-hagoyim, a "multitude of nations", or a "company of nations". And the long awaited restoration of all Israel will come at last. All 12 tribes will be there. (See Revelation chapter 7.)
The final seven years of this age will not be the picture of total doom and disaster Evangelical teachers have painted. Oh yes, there will be trouble, trouble primarily of our own making. Our neglect in the devotion and our compromises and dalliances in this world will be the root cause of all our tribulations.
But the prophet Micah had some good news to report. He declared that all of Jacob will be gathered as the sheep of Bozrah. The God of Israel will be among His people in a great revival. And by His Spirit YHVH-God, the Holy One of Israel, will be calling all His people out into a new ekklesia, just as He has done so many times before. Lost Israel, and all their companions, will be found. And even coming home by a difficult passage through a strait and narrow gate, "a remnant shall return".
The Book of Revelation can be clearly seen as an epic heavenly court case. As the 70th Week opens the Ancient of Days will sit. Here on earth the four horsemen, the four human governmental systems, will have finished their rule and their ride through history. Up in the courts of heaven the books will be opened concerning the two big issues of the latter days. The 5th seal will be opened and YHVH-God will be calling for His two witnesses. The Holy One of Israel will be resuming His covenant dealings related to
1. His Holy City, Jerusalem. And
2. His Holy People, the global Congregation of Israel, (or church). It will be a time of high drama between God and His people.
It will be the culmination of the divine romance of the ages.
The Bridegroom will be approaching,
even in the dark hours after midnight. And at that time the message will go forth,
"Arise, shine! For your light has come!" (Isa.60)AFTER KING SOLOMON'S DEATH LOST ISRAEL CURSES AND CUTS OFF THE ROYAL TRIBE OF JUDAH.
THEY REJECT AND DIVORCE THEMSELVES FROM THE ROYAL HOUSE AND THRONE OF DAVID, ALONG WITH
THEIR CAPITAL, JERUSALEM ALL OF WHICH REPRESENTS THEIR NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY!
THE THRONE OF DAVID IS THE VERY THRONE FROM WHICH CHRIST RULES IN THE HEARTS.
HE WILL RULE FROM THE THRONE OF DAVID HERE ON THIS EARTH IN THE COMING MILLENNIUM OF MESSIAH!200 YEARS LATER THE TEN TRIBES ARE TAKEN CAPTIVE AND LOST. THEY DISAPPEAR INTO HISTORY.
UNLIKE JUDAH THEY NEVER RETURNED TO THE LAND OF THEIR FATHERS IN SOVEREIGN NUMBERS AND STRENGTH.
UNDER THE OLD COVENANT GOD TOLD THEM THEY WERE "NOT MY PEOPLE" SO THEIR NATIONAL AMNESIA IS PROFOUND.
AND IN THEIR JEALOUSY THEY HAVE SO FAR ONLY RETURNED TO ERETZ ISRAEL TO CRUSADE.
THIS TERRIBLE BLOOD FEUD CONTINUES AGAINST THE THRONE OF DAVID IN THE FORM OF ANTI-SEMITISM.
THE BREACH OF JEROBOAM IS BEING HEALED AND WILL YET BE HEALED IN AN EPIC CLIMACTIC WAY IN THE NEW COVENANT.
CAN WE CONNECT THE DOTS HERE? The northern ten tribes did an awful thing. They took it upon themselves to cut off the Jewish House of Judah.
They cut themselves off from the royal throne of David, the seat of their very own national sovereignty.
This would bring tragic consequences to them.
The ten tribes would go on to lose their sovereignty, their national roots, and their true identity. This rejection of David, (and rejection of the coming Son of David), had been done before. The same bitter words had been uttered two generations before. On that occasion the words of rejection and cursing came by the rebel Sheba. He was a man whom the scriptures refer to as a "man of Belial", (a man of Satan). He came against King David with bitter words of renunciation. If we look carefully at the words uttered against the Throne of David back then we can discern that these were words of Anti-Semitism, although the word anti-Semitism is a misleading word that "cloaks" what is really going on. (2Samuel 20:1) But now the very same words of rejection of the royal Jewish tribe of Judah were being heard again. Again the denunciation was coming not from the pagan outsiders but from within Israel! The bitter words were coming from the ten northern tribes. This great divorce, the epic split-up of Israel, is recorded for us in the verses below.
"Now when all Israel saw that the king did not listen to them, the people answered the king, saying:
'What share have we in David?
We have no inheritance in the son of Jesse.
To your tents, O Israel!
Now, see to your own house, O David!'
Woodcut illustration by Julius Schnoor von Carolsfeld (1794-1872">So Israel departed to their tents." (1Kings 12:16 and 2Chronicles 10:16)
This was the great divorce of Israel, the awful 'breach of Jeroboam'.
King Solomon had died. The year was 922 B.C.
And Israel was now divided into two houses.
This is a situation which continues to this day.Jeroboam had his political reasons for drawing the people away from Judah and from the true worship of YHVH, the God of Israel. He did not want the northern tribes going back under the political covering of the royal tribe of Judah. The separation was deep and long lasting. In fact the scriptures indicate that this division will last all the way up until the end time drama. - Zech.12:7-13:1, Rom.11
There is no doubt that there was a search for grace involved here on the part of the lost tribes. And God did not support Rehoboam's call to wage war on the rebelling tribes. God said that it was from Him. (1Kings 12:24) But there is an element of hatred and rejection in this rebellion which is quite evident here. The scriptures clearly indicate that this is what we would recognize today as antisemitism. The bitter words and the venom is specifically directed at the Throne of David. This is the throne from which the returning Christ/Messiah will rule in the coming Millennium of Messiah. He is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah who is to sit upon the throne of David for a thousand years. (Rev.20) But in the hearts of many people, (even some fellow Israelites), He is not welcome. The kings and rulers of the nations, (and many of their their hired state churchmen), clearly do not want Him to return either. (See also Psalm 2)
TARGET #1 FOR THE FORCES OF DARKNESS: THE THRONE OF DAVID.
We have abundant Biblical poetic and prophetic evidence to show that God will heal the breach of Jeroboam. YHVH-God will find and restore His covenant people even as Hosea found and restored lost Gomer. He will regather and restore all Israel as a single Elect, a royal priesthood and a holy nation. (1Pet.2:9) Israel will be a complete nation once again. All 12 tribes will be rejoined and restored in the latter days of this age.And how will this happen? There will in fact be a great End Time Revival. It will draw in the end time saints from both houses of Israel. We have not seen this yet. We have only seen faint little glimmers of the great Light that will eventually shine out to the Gentiles in the latter days. This great revival will come even in a time of great darkness and period of great apostasy. But the prophet Isaiah spoke about this as did Joel and many others. (Isa.60, Joel 2:28-32) Finally, at the end of the story Isaiah said that
"The redeemed of the Lord shall return. And come with singing unto Zion".(Isa.35)
And so like Gomer with Hosea, the ten tribes were drawn away from their true Husband. YHVH, the God of Jacob would be replaced with other lesser gods. Lost Israel wandered off into gross idolatry. The love they had for YHVH-God, the Holy One of Israel, faded away. And so they became spiritually lost.
As we shall see, it was not long after they became spiritually lost that they became politically lost as well. The Assyrians came into ascendancy and Israel soon lost its sovereignty as a people. The lost ten tribes of Israel was taken off captive to Assyria and then intermingled and scattered into the nations. Eventually, after many wanderings the lost House of Israel, lost the memory of their homeland. Unlike their brethren in the House of Judah, they were cut off from their roots. They never came home again.
The Holy Scriptures tell us that both houses of Israel ended up in abominable idolatry. And both companies of God's covenant people went into captivity. The northern kingdom was led off by the Assyrians in 722 B.C.. The southern kingdom lost their sovereignty to the Babylonians and went into exile in 586 B.C..
Only the southern kingdom returned to the land. Only the Jewish tribe of Judah, with Benjamin and many of the Levites with them, were able to re-establish sovereign presence in the land.

Such is the way of a fallen race,
Even a people who've lost touch with their God.
But the truth comes through in dreams and visions,
And in the shadows of the artist's work.
Our popular culture tells the story,
A wanton woman leaves her true husband.
He is the only One who genuinely loves her
And so out in the world she loses her way,
In forgetting the One to whom belongs she suffers from amnesia.
And in forgetting her true roots she loses her true identity.
This is the story of Gomer.
It has been an ongoing saga in the history of Western culture.
And so like Gomer with Hosea, the ten tribes were drawn away from their true Husband. YHVH, the God of Jacob would be forgotten. Lost Israel would become children of lesser gods. Lost Israel, as Gomer departing from Hosea, wandered off into gross idolatry. The love they had for YHVH-God, the Holy One of Israel, faded away. And so they became spiritually lost. As we shall see, it was not long after the Lost Ten Tribes became spiritually lost in idolatry that they became politically lost as well. The Assyrians arose into ascendancy in Mesopotamia and Israel soon lost its sovereignty as a people. Lost Israel was taken off captive to Assyria and then deliberatel and systematically scattered into the nations. Eventually, after many wanderings the northern 10 tribes, (the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel), lost the memory of their homeland. Unlike their brethren in the House of Judah, they have not yet come home again.
The Old Testament Scriptures tell the story. Both houses of Israel ended up in idolatry. And both companies of God's covenant people went into captivity. The northern kingdom was led off by the Assyrians in 722 B.C.. The southern kingdom lost their sovereignty to the Babylonians and went into exile in 586 B.C.. Only the southern kingdom. predominantly the Jewish House of Judah, returned to the land to re-establish a sovereign presence in the land. Jerusalem was eventually given sovereignty by Medo-Persia as a self-governing city-state in 445 B.C. under the leadership of Nehemiah. See the video below.
After the edict of Cyrus in 538 B,C. the House of Judah was permitted to return. And finally, under Zerubbabel in 516 B.C. they finally succeeded in rebuilding the temple. Under Ezra in 457 B.C. they rediscovered the Torah and had a revival. And finally, under Nehemiah in 445 B.C. they rebuilt the gates and walls to restore the sovereignty of Jerusalem as a self-ruling city-state.
The "lost ten tribes" were carried off. In typical Assyrian fashion they were mixed in with other nations. The 10 tribes subsequently lost their true identity. The Assyrians transported foreigners to live in the land where the Northern ten tribes had once lived in their God given territory. The House of Israel never returned to the land in numbers sufficient to repopulate their national land or to re-establish sovereignty in Eretz Israel. As we read the awful prophetic judgment upon the northern kingdom in Hosea's prophecy as represented by the names of the children of Hosea and Gomer we realize that under the Old Covenant the Northern tribes would suffer national disruption. They were scattered into the nations. They would not return to the land in sovereign numbers as Judah did. YHVH-God had written them a bill of divorce. And like lost Gomer they had been cut off from the covenant. Remember that the Old Covenant was a national covenant which YHVH-God had made with the children of Israel. He was the One who established them as a nation on the Day of Pentecost back at Mount Sinai.
And so the question is asked.
Where are the lost tribes now?
And will they be found again?
And if so, then how? And when?
It seems that our culture still retains a significant body of evidence of these scatterings and subsequent journeyings and encampments of lost Israel. These are legends we once thought were merely pagan and of no interest to us in the Judeo-Christian families of the West.
It seems that Lost Israel was predominantly a pagan party as they wandered west. They were disconnected from their God, no longer celebrating the 7 Feasts of israel and no longer seeing the Holy City or being ministered to by the Levitical priesthood. They no longer remembered their Hebrew roots. The pagan female deity worship was still apparent even in the so called "Christian Era" of the Dark Ages and the Middle Ages We are now learning that a significant number of these legends stowed away inside our culture are actually based upon historical fact. These are the half-forgotten memories and a culture of vaguely remembered, even the stories of 'Lost Israel". These story-lines lie buried in our ancient Celtic subculture. They are still retained in our western literature and music.

A MUSICAL VIDEO by Loreena McKennitt from youtube.com on this theme.
It is called
NIGHT RIDE ACROSS THE CAUCASUS.
Idolatrous Israel then, (as the West is now), was steeped in gnostic paganism. God was "up there" in His heaven, and not down here in this evil place with men and women of clay. Israel as a nation, never has yet really come to know her true Beloved in any personal sort of a way. But this will surely happen, in times to come. Here during the Dark Ages in the west we had the ARTHURIAN LEGENDS. In them we see the history of Gomer coming out in the storyline all over again. Israel whad her false gods, and Gomer her lovers. And so we see the Lady of Shalott with her Sir Lancelot and Isolde with her Tristan. It is the same story, the same lost and disconnected woman, suffering from amnesia. Gomer in the Dark Ages is now having to go to the worldly princes of Camelot/Babylon. And why? She needs to make deals and enter into trysts with her lovers for reasons of security. The stories end up in tragedy. In the case of Isolde she is spurned and dies of a broken heart. We see her body being ferried down the river. In the case of the Lady of Shalott we see her drifting down the river to Babylon, pale in death.
Why all this tragedy? And why are the nations raging more and wars becoming more and more destructive? What is the root cause, the essential rebellion going on that is causing us all this grief?
There is an answer, and an explanation for the great dangers we are now facing.

THE MISTS OF AVALON.
Here we see the spiritual and moral misbehavior of lost Israel. We see the worship of the female deity Gaiea. Ashteroth was the goddess worshiped in Egypt, Assyria, and in Babylon. It was because of this evil practice that YHVH-God allowed the enemies to come. Both houses of Israel were conquered and taken off into captivity.
The Jewish house in the Southern Kingdom of Israel learned their lesson. And the royal house of Judah never returned to idolatry. But in the westward migrations of a group of people who came to be called, (by others), the Celts we still see the pagan worship of female deities. In fact we still see it, somewhat cloaked and underground, but still present in our culture and in the politics of the left.
Only Judah, the southern Jewish kingdom, the Kingdom of Judah returned home to the land of Israel in numbers sufficient to re-establish any sovereignty for the returning exiles. Cyrus of Persia allowed the first returns from Babylon. This came after 70 years. It would not be until over 140 years later that the exiles were given an edict from the Persian superpower to restore sovereignty. And that consideration, given to Nehemiah in 445 B.C., was just given to allow the restoration of Jerusalem as a self-governing sovereign city-state.
So what became of the Northern Kingdom?
Whatever happened to the lost ten tribes?
Will they be restored?
THESE VIDEOS and the Yair Davidiy interviews provide some answers.
And shall we see all 12 tribes of the nation of Israel re-emerge as a single sovereign nation again?
Shall we see the "royal priesthood and the holy nation" of which Moses and our Apostle Peter both spoke?
(Exodus 19:6 & 1Pet. 2:9
The "lost ten tribes" were carried off and were mixed in with other nations. The 10 tribes subsequently lost their true identity. The Assyrians transported foreigners to live in the land where the Northern ten tribes had once lived. The House of Israel never returned to the land in numbers sufficient to repopulate their national land or to re-establish sovereignty over their God given lands in Eretz Israel.
The awful prophetic judgment upon the northern kingdom in Hosea's prophecy were represented by the names of the children of Hosea and Gomer. These names were "No mercy" and "Not my people". So under the Old Covenant the Northern tribes suffered total and complete national disinheritance. They were scattered into the nations. They would not return to the land in sovereign numbers as Judah did. YHVH-God had written Israel a bill of divorce. And like lost Gomer they had been cut off from the covenant.
Remember that the Old Covenant was a national covenant.
YHVH, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob had covenanted with the children of Israel.
He was the One who made covenant with the nation of Israel.
So Israel was established as a nation on the
Day of Pentecost back at Mount Sinai.
And so the question is asked.
Where are the lost tribes now?
And will they be found again?
And if so, then how? And when?
Quite clearly the lost ten tribes of Israel are out there, - somewhere. They must be. They are in a low state. Or are they? The prophet Ezekiel saw them sprawled out as though dead, in a valley of dry bones. He saw the bones begin to come together, a national movement towards restoration of Israel we saw in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Then came the flesh and skin covering of a unifying national sovereignty which we saw happen with the recognition of the state of Israel in 1948. The final act of God is the Breath of Life, even a spiritual Revival of Israel. Zechariah saw this and prophesied about this remarkable turnaround. (Zech.12:7-13:1) The apostle Paul said that at the end of the age "all Israel will be saved". (Romans 11) John saw 12 tribes represented in the 144,000 and in the innumerable multitude mentioned in Revelation 7. And when John saw the Holy City he saw that it had entrances through 12 gates. These 12 gates represent the 12 tribes of Israel. Quite clearly all of them will be saved. And a restored re-united single Elect will be glorified at the end of this age. And they will be established forever in the New Jerusalem. (Rev.21)

"I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." (Mat.15:24)If they were lost in the Old Covenant then is the situation completely hopeless for them?
Apparently not.
From what we read in the scriptures it would appear that there is still hope.
Because the grace the ten tribes went looking for and failed to get from Rehoboam in the matter
of taxes and servitude in Judah is now available.
This grace now comes to them from another newer covenant.
It is from the same Source in YHVH,
the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
But this grace is available to them in the New Covenant.
And this is precisely what Jeremiah spoke of in Jeremiah 31:31-36.
Jeremiah 31So it is entirely possible that the lost sheep of the House of Israel are not lost forever. It could well be that the connection to YHVH-God these people lost nationally under the Law is now being restored in a personal way under the Gospel of Grace. These people who were lost under the Old Covenant with national Israel may well be even now being picked up by the New Covenant that Yeshua/Jesus makes with individuals. (Jer. 31:31) And so at the climax of the age all Israel will be saved individually, one soul at a time. Then national salvation will be seen again as the returning Messiah does His work of deliverance at the end of the age.
31. "Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord,
when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah--
32. not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord.
33. But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord:
I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
34. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more."
The story of the covenant people of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is truly a magnificent story of redemption and salvation. The lost ten tribes will not end up in a lost oblivion. Their restoration will turn out to be a 'wonder', a word in Hebrew which means "Surprise!" The story of the lost tribes of Israel will re-emerge after a passage through over 2700 years of history. These great hidden secrets are yet to unfold. And God's great mysteries will be unveiled in the Apocalypse at the end of this age.
National Israel's history has been heating up in recent years, as we well know. And the Light of Israel is going out to the nations and even to the ends of the earth. The history of God's covenant Congregation for this era has not yet come to its grand and glorious conclusion. Holy history, (or as our German friends say, Heils geschicte, (salvation history), is still up ahead. The crucible of the end time will see the refining and the regathering of both houses of Israel. This will surely come to pass at the consummation of this age.
Genesis 15:5
5 And he brought him forth abroad, and said,
Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars,
if thou be able to number them:
and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
Abraham, the father of the faithful in God, was told that he was to be the father of many nations. After he had made covenant with Yehoveh-God there would be a SEED (singular), within his loins that be the Progenitor of a myriad company of nations and people as numerous as the stars of heaven.
Yes, they would go through their trials and their scatterings and Abraham was told of the first of those. God told Abraham that the Children of the Promise would go into Egypt and serve for over 400 years but that later they would emerge to become a huge multitude of people. He was also told that this company of people were to be a Melo-hagoyim, a company of nations extending out beyond the nation and land of Israel, (Eretz-Israel).
The Seed of Israel, (singular), withing the loins of Abraham, even the promised Christ/Messiah, was to be the divine Progenitor of a huge spiritual household, a royal priesthood and a holy nation extending out beyond the fleshly DNA racial flows of Israel.
Isaiah 49:6 (KJV)
And he said, It is a light thing that thou shouldest be my servant
to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel:
I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles,
that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth.

But all was not lost. The Holy One of Israel is a God who opens doors to His people, inviting them to repent of their waywardness and to step out with Him into new beginnings. The prophet Jeremiah brought this remarkable promise of a New Covenant!
Jeremiah 31:31-33 (KJV)The prophets had warned Israel and prophesied captivity and scatterings for them. But along with these cutting prophetic words of national scattering came the promise of an ultimate regathering, a reunion and homecoming, and then a full restoration of all Israel. This regathering, reunion, and ultimate restoration of all Israel would include all 12 tribes of Israel, even as a global company.

The prophet Isaiah brought the promise that out of Israel would come a Servant. That Servant of Israel was to become a Light to the Gentiles.

Jeremiah 16:14-21
14 "Therefore behold, the days are coming," says the Lord, "that it shall no more be said, 'The Lord lives who brought up

"Behold, I will gather them out of all the lands to
which I have driven them in My anger, in My wrath, and in great
indignation; and I will bring them back to this place and make
them dwell in safety. And they shall be My people, and I will be their God;
and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me always,
for their own good, and for {the good of} their children after them.
And I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will
not turn away from them, to do them good; and I will put the fear
of Me in their hearts so that they will not turn away from Me.
And I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will faithfully
plant them in this land with all My heart and with all My soul.
For thus says the LORD, 'Just as I brought all this great disaster

I am promising them.
Amos 9:13-15
Behold, days are coming," declares the LORD,
"When the plowman will overtake the reaper And the treader of
grapes him who sows seed; when the mountains will drip sweet wine,
and all the hills will be dissolved. Also I will restore the
captivity of My people Israel, and they will rebuild the ruined
cities and live {in them} they will also plant vineyards and
drink their wine, and make gardens and eat their fruit. I will
also plant them on their land, and they will not again be rooted
out from their land which I have given them," says the LORD your God.
