Antisemitism is a mysterious phenomenon. In past years we were led to view it as a European social malady, related to the fascist regimes. We have been made aware of the persecutions against Jewish villages in the Pogroms of Eastern Europe and the Holocaust of World War II. In earlier times there were the Crusades and also the Inquisitions. These were grievous histories, terrible beyond all telling.
During these past 80 years of the Pax Americana, we have not seen antisemitism rise up to any significant degree — Until now! In fact, it is making an appearance in America, of all places!
So, what is happening here? The winds of change are blowing. Things feel unsettled. After 1700 years the post-Nicene Constantinian Accord of “God and king” or “God and Western rulers” is beginning to get shaky.
America now seems to be approaching its own special crossroad in world history. There is talk of a “Great Reset”, into a new era of global unity. We hear mumblings of something called “global governance”. And now, with nationalistic reactionary voices being raised, conservative commentators are beginning to pivot from confronting their left wing political opponents to castigate our Jewish friends. They are also questioning or denying national Israel’s right to exist.
These right wing pundits are joined by a globalist elite on the left that perceives Israel to be a racial, even a racist company, not deserving to be a true nation. Merely for defending itself Israel is roundly judged as the aggressor, and not worthy of belonging to the UN “club”.
Christian believers aware of Bible prophecy know what this means. The watchmen of Ephraim warn of a coming time of trial, the future 70th Week of Daniel, and the final 7 years of this age. Dominionist Christians mollify this with their claim of a Christian “Church Universal and Triumphant”. They envision the completion of a worldwide Christian dominion, all before Christ returns.
Dispensationalist Christians take a dim view of this. They are quite attentive to Bible prophecy. Thanks to evangelical Scotland Yard Inspector Sir Robert Anderson they have the Seventy Weeks Prophecy laid out very precisely. Biblical Christians can clearly see the future 70th Week floating out there in our future somewhere. They know it will be a time of trials. They link it to the coming time of “Jacob’s Trouble”.
The 19th Century saw dispensationalist Christians erecting a deep theological partition between the Church and Israel. This allowed them to avoid having to take responsibility for the end-time trouble they saw coming. So up came an eschatology allowing for a special early departure of the Church in a pre-tribulation Rapture. This partitioning off of the Jewish house allowed the time of “Jacob’s Trouble” in Jeremiah 30:7 to be considered as just “Jewish trouble”, and of no concern for the American Christian church. But there is a strong correlation of “Jacob’s Trouble” with the prophecy of the “affliction of Joseph” in Amos 6:6. The house of Joseph is very definitely not the Jewish house.
Like many liberal churches, our Messianic Jewish friends do not put much emphasis on Bible prophecy. To their credit they do have a mind to keep the peace by upholding tradition and maintaining the status quo.
Neither the Jewish Messianic house nor the Christian congregation seem to be inquiring into what redemptive purpose the Holy One of Israel might have in store for His covenant people during those final 7 years of this age. However, the Biblical narrative is stacked with very telling clues. Apparently the true Latter Rain will fall, and the sower will overtake the reaper in a bumper global Harvest. So that can’t be all bad.
So, here we are, with another bid for global dominion on the rise again. Once again, sadly, we are seeing the re-emergence of this sinister specter of antisemitism. Here it is, popping up again. In Main Street America?
So then, what is Antisemitism? The label “antisemitism” is quite inadequate to explain this phenomenon. The Semitic people extend well beyond the Jewish family of Judah.
Antisemitism in the common parlance is clearly a racist hatred of Jews. Globalist spokespersons are also rising up to deny the right of Israel to exist as a nation. This is a far cry from the Balfour Declaration, and the former resolve of Great Britain to preserve a homeland for the Jewish people.
Of course Lawrence of Arabia set in motion a political movement quite opposed to that. Then in 1939, fully aware of what was happening in Germany, the British House of Commons, concerned about the Arab Revolt in Palestine, issued the “White Paper” refusing to allow more than just a limited number of Holocaust survivors to make Alijah to Israel. The S.S. Exodus incident in 1947 was sad. There were also interdictions of vessels at sea with Jewish refugees taken into custody. They were relocated to internment camps in Cyprus, far away from prying eyes. That caused an international outrage.
So, why are we seeing a sudden increase in antisemitism popping up here in America? We can talk all day long about economic factors, international bankers and global economic policy. But the accusation by antisemites of a Jewish banking conspiracy is without foundation. The powers of Western Christendom are the ones who control the BIS. They have dominated the flows of credit ever since the Crusades.
So antisemitism is now sitting there on our doorstep. But we still do not yet have a handle on its root cause. No doubt it is a conspiracy. But by whom? And why?
For those with a biblical perspective we could cut to the chase rather quickly. King David, sovereign ruler of the House of Judah and over all Israel, wrote a song about this conspiracy 3,000 years ago. It is there in Psalm 2.
So, why are we seeing the raging of nations as we approach the end of the age? As we see, that conspiracy at its base is being directed towards the coming Messiah, the returning King of kings. And why? The rebels say, “Let us break their bonds in pieces, and cast away their constraints from us!” Obviously they resent the moral constraints of His righteous rule and law. That right there is our first big clue. So too is Isaac’s blessing upon his son Esau in Genesis 27:39-40.
That conspiracy prophesied in Psalm 2 is interesting. But how is that relevant to human governmental hierarchies right now in a God rejecting world? Who cares about Jewish and Christian chatter about a coming Messiah, and Him putting constraints on their godless lifestyles?
Then too, what world leader comes right out and says, “We need to stop this Jewish Messiah from coming in to rule OUR world!” No one says that openly, right? So the conspiracy King David speaks of still remains hidden.
The 1700 year old Constantinian Accord, the Judeo-Christian establishment of “God and king” or God and Western rulers is in decline. But it still has some pull. So, the principalities and powers and their hierarchies here below would never come right out and say that they are anti-Messiah. That would soon be broadly recognized as the spirit of antiChrist. So their sinister political and spiritual maneuverings against Jews and Christians remain cloaked in the occult realms.
No doubt there are people out there who loathe the very idea of the Second Coming of Christ as King of kings and as Judge. But, they would never admit it, even to themselves. However, the dark angels on the Heavenly Court pulling their strings most definitely DO pay attention. In fact, they tremble at the thought. Even the demon horde Legion before being cast out by Jesus expressed his absolute terror of the coming Judgment saying, “Have you come to judge us before ‘the time?’”
So the angels of the rebellion still sitting up in the Heavenly Court as well as the demons lurking around here below, take the return of Messiah as Judge very very seriously. That is why their agents, “the people of the prince who is to come” are driven to defile, deface, deform, and destroy all manner of holy things.
So, the powers of darkness are pursuing their antisemitic and anti-Christian agenda with increased boldness. The reason they do this is now becoming clearer. Quite simply, they are desperate to prevent the end-time witness.
Without a solid spiritual foundation in the God who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, unredeemed people will go along with “whatever”. They will be easily hoodwinked, and pulled into a state of spiritual blindness. Antisemitism can then take root in their soul without people even knowing what happened, or how it happened.
The vast majority of antisemites in the West come on as reasonable men. They will affirm a nice seemingly diverse, equitable, and inclusive politico-religious stance. They will deny that they despise the rule of Messiah, whether in the hearts of Christians or in Jerusalem. They will never announce opposition to His future rule.
But if they deny His place in their lives how can they truly know what is going on in their own hearts? Do they really know where their alien spirit guides are taking them?
Those being drawn into antisemitism are in fact confused and inwardly conflicted. In secretly despising the rule of Messiah they are being unwittingly coerced into a deeper rebellion against God. They can often go on embrace the Big Lie, and grasp the impossible dream that they themselves can be god.
Most of those drawn into the angry antisemitic parade cannot give a clear rational reason as to why they rage against Jews and against the nation of Israel. But being driven by strange and often malicious spirits they get up and demonstrate their anger anyway. They join the mob, shouting out what they are told to shout out, beating on the drum, marching in lockstep down the street, doing the goose-step and all that.
Narcissistic people driven by the angel of “self” will never say out loud that they oppose the coming of Messiah. But we can be sure that their evil angels, the principalities and powers do. Their purpose is to subvert any and all people who might be faithful to Messiah or in any way might herald His return.
As we see in Psalm 82, the angels of the rebellion still sit on the Heavenly Court. These are the bad apples that King David’s songwriter Asaph wrote about. So, as national and international policy is enacted here below this binds or looses the angelic rulers on the Divine Council. Similarly, our prayers of intercession with unction can bind or loose the powers up in the lower heaven above.
So there is a spiritual war going on up there, just as there is on Main Street, and in our governments here below. The unholy powers have a desperate but hopeless plan. Believing their own lies they believe that by putting a stop to the end-time witness of Jews and Christians they can prevent the Last Day Judgment.
These angels of the rebellion are in sheer terror of being judged and sentenced. Some of them even made a fruitless appeal to Enoch to intercede for them. These are the stars that will be seen falling at the end of the age.
Their scheme is to draw people into their own angst and stop the end-time witness. But this will fail. Calvary has already sealed their fate.
1Corinthians 2
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
There will most certainly be a witness by the Body of Christ to their sacred Head. So, no matter what the principalities and powers of darkness do in the interim, they stand as a defeated foe. As we see in Revelation chapter 6 the 5th seal witness will go forth as prophesied. And the angels of the rebellion WILL go up to trial on that Last Day, the Day of the Lord. They will face the very judgment they tried so desperately to forestall.
And so, here we are seeing the hatred rising up to target the Jewish house of Judah. And as we see in Genesis 49 and elsewhere in scripture, Judah operates in the anointed spiritual flows of God’s righteous rule and law.
Psalm 108
8 “Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; JUDAH is my LAWGIVER;”
So, the Jewish House of David, in Judah Is entrusted with the sovereignty, the scepter, and the throne of David. Jesus Christ, the coming Messiah is the Son of David, the Lion of Judah. In Him we find the spiritual anointing to uphold God’s righteous rule and law in our lives.
Here is a wider view of that. Any soul who invites Messiah into their life sees Him come in wearing His High Priest’s breastplate. All twelve jewels are there, including the jewel representing the royal Jewish House of Judah.
So, when we look at the matter we come to this realization. Antisemitism at its root embraces a flat-out rejection of the biblically based legitimate anointed spiritual flow of the Jewish House of Judah as lawgiver.
So now we come down to brass tacks to expose the root of antisemitism. At its root it is a seething hatred of the Throne of David. It is open hostility to the Law of the Spirit, which under the administration of the New covenant. brings salvation to the souls of men, rules in the hearts of the redeemed, blesses nations, and revives congregations.
So as we see, antisemitism at its root is essentially a spirit of lawlessness. It is a plot to stymie God’s righteous rule here on earth.
Our globalist elites are loathe to address all this lawless iniquity. Why is militant feminism silent in the face of blatant exploitation of young girls? Why are the murderous Islamic machete attacks on Christian villages in Africa being ignored by globalist powers? Why is genocide and slavery in third world places not condemned and addressed by those in high places? And why are UN military policing forces reluctant to intervene in wars of genocide?
Where is justice and mercy being upheld in this world? Even our law enforcement departments are dealing with corruption within and failing the nations entrusted to their care. The black hats play dirty tricks on the white hats. Law enforcement turns a blind eye to drug trafficking and human trafficking. And yes, this world still has slavery.
So much of this blatant lawlessness still goes on unopposed. Meanwhile, those serving on globalist committees spend their days fuming about Israel having to defend itself. They prefer to spend their time condemning Israel for “over-reacting”. Over two-thirds of all condemnations by the UN are against Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East. From 2015 through 2023, the UN General Assembly has adopted 154 resolutions against Israel. There were just 71 placed against other countries. Are we getting the picture here?
So, as we see, a growing number of misguided players among our Western elites are right now in a mode of flat-out rejection of the legal status of Jewish nation of Israel. They are denying Israel’s right to exist. They never do that to any other nation.
In doing so they have come full circle. They are rejecting the throne of David, precisely as their forbearers did all those years ago at the Breach of Jeroboam. That Rebellion of the ten tribes came after the death of King Solomon in 932 B.C.E, . When we look at it closely we see that the ancient schism back then was over an issue of Law vs. Grace. It split Israel into two kingdoms. The two aggrieved parties still vex each other to this day. They will do so until prophesied reconciliation and reunion comes.
So then, at this point we are bound to ask the question, “What on earth is going on with this outbreak of antisemitism and lawlessness?” The Constantinian Accord of “God and king” was established at the Council of Nicaea back in 325 C.E. In spite of the compromises this did leave us with some heroic histories and noble legacies. Good men, good priests and good soldiers, tried their best to approximate the biblical Judeo-Christian standard of the Shepherd-King. However, as we see with the general moral decline in the West, that ethos appears to be running out of puff. Does the Constantinian Accord have a shelf-life? Is that why things are going bad now?
The inter-European wars stopped after World War II. We shall never see them again. So the patriotism fostered by heroic returning soldiers of nations is fading from the culture. As we see in the Western nations, police wars are unpopular, and national borders are no longer being preserved. Corruption is setting in, and lawlessness among migrants tolerated. Western nations seem to be “going woke”. This declining clinical state in national politics does not look like it can be turned around.
Fortunately we are also seeing genuine biblical awakenings. Obviously God has another plan to unfold for His covenant people in the future 70th Week, and with a new and living Way on which to travel. With His commissioning in Isaiah 49:6 and in Matthew 28:18-20 comes the spiritual guidance and empowerment. Our hope now rests with those benefactors God has on His Heavenly Court. He keeps them hidden for good reasons We also have God’s Providence in the Latter Rain Holy Spirit outpouring as promised in Joel chapter 2. So there is hope for the witnesses of the latter days. With lamps shining brightly they will make their passage through a dark Valley of Decision, up onto the highway of holiness the prophet Isaiah spoke about. (Isa. 35)
Let’s pause right here and survey this very frequent and recurrent matter, that of jealousy and its attendant resentment and anger. We see this psychological phenomenon in the disgruntled gatherings of fallen mankind. It is a pervasive personal and societal failing. This jealousy simmers and goes on to a seething resentment of others who appear to be “privileged”. National uprising occur in times of economic difficulty. In such times we often see mobs, rising up in a general loathing of Jewish people. Typically antisemitism breaks out during the peak of a nation’s rise to prominence. This often occurs at the threshold into a new era.
Of course there will always be the red horse riders in the left wing extremes, promoting the politics of victimhood. Widening disparities between the rich and the poor often triggers a dark mood of bitter resentment. Many will march to the drumbeat believing that the privileged ones are out to exploit them in a “race to the bottom”. We saw this in the first Exodus when the children of Israel were forced to make bricks without straw. Are we seeing harbingers of the Second Exodus? (Isa. 11:11-12)
That brings us to this question. What is one big reason we become resentful of others and grow to hate them? The short answer is that we hate them because they have something that we want desperately, but have come to believe we can never have.
As we see in our histories, the West gives evidence of certain ancient memories. Christian people have a mysterious desire to return to Jerusalem. CUFI Christians in particular give evidence of a desire to reconnect with the Jewish house holding the fort there. Thousands of Christians from around the world gather every year in Jerusalem for the Feast of Tabernacles. This love of Israel is seen not only among Western biblical Christians but even with new Christians from third world countries. This is very wonderful.
Also lingering within Western Christendom is a strange sense of being lost and disenfranchised. When hard times bring grief and sadness there is often a sense of being cut off from promised blessings, or being left with an unrealized destiny. There is a latent sense of existential emptiness, of somehow belonging to Israel but having been cut off from realizing the promise. This has always been there as a latent atavism in Western Christendom.
There also seems to be some sort of a corporate memory, a homing instinct. Perhaps it is like salmon returning upstream into the very river in which they were spawned. A certain longing and obsession with Jerusalem is a dimly remembered part of our Western consciousness. The angst of it all is expressed in the arts, in our literature, and in our Celtic music.
Going back to the British evangelicals of the 19th Century there has been a spiritual movement in Christendom we could call Biblical Zionism. It is an evangelical movement with a deep sense of peace. This can be sensed by visitors to the Garden Tomb.
However, it is matter of some concern to pilgrim Christian’s that this sense of destiny in Jerusalem is becoming politicized. A certain political Zionism is now on the ascendency. Many, knowing its history, question it, and take a dim view of it. Political Zionism became manifest in unsavory ways in the Crusades. Our Jewish friends remember that history very well.
Today we see the Knights of Malta allied to dominionist Christian churches. Many embrace post-millennialism, dominion theology and replacement theology. There is a quiet political/military Zionism in the West that at the present time seems to be making inroads towards and around the Jewish state of Israel. Hopefully these are all efforts to protect Jewish Israel.
Throughout all this we see a Western Church that is confused about Israel. Even good biblical Christians are just not quite sure how they are to address the issue of Israel, or even have a handle on what Israel one is talking about at the time. There is talk of political Israel and spiritual Israel. We have the Israel of biblical times, the Israel we see today in post 1948 Israel, and then in Romans chapter 11 we hear of “All Israel” that is to be saved. Might “All Israel”, be the people John saw from every nation, race, and tribe gathered before the throne in Revelation chapter 7? Are these some of the stars that our spiritual father Abraham was shown way back in Genesis chapters 15 when he made covenant with God?
A good test for biblical Christians is to read Ephesians chapter 2:11-15. What is the text telling us? We already know that under the blood of Christ we belong to the Church or Congregation of Israel, under the atoning blood of Israel’s Messiah. But can we believe that we also belong to His Kingdom, the the COMMONWEALTH of Israel as well? Can we believe that under the blood of Christ we become citizens in the politeia or politic of Israel? And if not, then what is stopping us from believing what we have just read? Are we being blocked in our thinking by some sort of a trolling spirit? Are we subject to a binding group-think or even being charmed under religious witchcraft?
Upon being saved and born-again do we not take Messiah in the Order of Melchizedek into our hearts? Christians are generally fairly law abiding? Why? Does not the indwelling Christ by His Holy Spirit administer both the anointing of God’s Grace and the anointing of God’s righteous rule and Law?
What if we in Christendom are under the non-Jewish House of Ephraimz. As stated by the prophet Hosea in Hos. 7:8 are we “a (pan)cake not turned”? We are open to the anointing of God’s Grace. But why are we refusing to recognize our biblically established responsibility to walk out our faith in the anointing of God’s righteous rule and Law?
What is our problem here? Here is the remedy for our Christian jealousy disease staring us in the face. And yet we persist in our “us and them” attitude to our still estranged Jewish family members. Is that why we are having such a rough time of it with the growing lawlessness in Western Christendom?
If the “Law of the Spirit” is a fruit or an outworking of our salvation is that such a terrible thing? What if both Grace and Law are administered by the indwelling Christ? Is that a problem? Does He not sit upon His throne in human hearts adjudicating His Law, for good and godly behavior? Is not His Judgment Seat also His Mercy Seat, the altar of His Grace in the Gospel? And who are those two angels spreading their wings over the Mercy Seat?
Clearly, this unification of the two feuding parties and all nations into a new global order must be brought together under some uniting entity or another. But a worldwide gathering under whom? Will it be Christ, or Antichrist? Would it not be a wise choice to choose the winning side?
As our apostle Paul states in Ephesians chapter 2, the atoning blood of Israel’s Messiah establishes both the Congregation and the Commonwealth of Messiah. Even now, this is bringing peace to both parties and resolving the Family Feud. Both the Kingdom and the Priesthood are established in the dual office of Messiah in the Order of Melchizedek. This is the sound biblical, theological, and eschatological foundation ordained by God for the promised reconciliation between the Church and Jewish Israel. Yes, Jesus is the answer here.
The Bible says clearly in our prophetic scriptures that there will be a RECONCILIATION between the two feuding parties.
Isaiah 11:13 (KJV)
The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.
Each party can be in covenant with the indwelling Messiah and with each other. They can be united, and yet “chosen” in their special distinctive spirit and character, not only making allowances for the other, but being complementary one of the other.
We see this demonstrated for us by that “show and tell” the prophet Ezekiel put on for us in Ezekiel chapter 37. The two sticks were destined to come together in the hand of Messiah. One stick is for Judah and the other stick is for Joseph. Can anything be clearer than that?
Herein lies the hope and the dream of a true and lasting, even an eternal world peace. When Messiah comes into the human heart as Redeemer all that jealousy, the resentment, and the antisemitism it engenders will dissolve away. That is already being seen as an observable fact in the lives of those who are born again.
So, here we are, with talk of a Great Reset. We are at the threshold of the prophesied end-time contest of angels and men, a clash of kingdoms. It is a spiritual war, fought “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord.
So, if a Great Reset is in order who is sovereign in the matter, God or humanistic man? And what might the outcome of all this be?
If the Constantinian Accord of “God and king” is to fail what might God’s answer to this be? Does He have in mind to return the Western Christendom back to its original Sovereign, let’s say, under the House of David, in the Jewish House of Judah? Might that sovereign be the Lion of Judah, even the Son of David, and the Kingdom of our Messiah, Jesus Christ Himself? That would wrap up holy history for this age very wonderfully.
So, what might be the outcome of the end-time contest of the ages? The Christian and Jewish house are left to ponder what both Moses and the apostle Peter said. Each one spoke of a grand end-of-age reconciliation. They did not speak of a “royal nation”, (Jewish Israel), and a “holy priesthood”, (the Church). Instead, both Moses and Peter cross-linked the two. They both spoke of a “royal priesthood” and “holy nation”, or “kingdom of priests”.
So quite obviously, as we see in Isaiah 58:12 there must at some point be, a “Repairing of the Breach”, the Breach of Jeroboam. That means a glorious reconciliation, a reunion, and an end to what for 2775 odd years has been the quintessential “Family Feud”.
At the end of the Book we read, “the kingdoms of this world have become the Kingdom of our LORD, and of His Messiah”. So, the long awaited Millennium of Messiah will surely come, even an eternal Kingdom that will bring lasting peace for all mankind.
Let us pray that this message finds its way into the many human hearts that are vexed in these troubled times. May they find rest for their souls, even in that eternal precious fellowship with our Redeemer, who is also the “Prince of Peace”.
